Donkeys are domesticated animals, sharing affinity with the horses. They belong to the “Equdiae” family and they are considered to be the second more resistant animal. Donkey’s ancestors were the wild donkeys of Africa and Asia. Donkeys can live up to 50 years and are excellent hikers in rugged lands.
They have a booming voice which can be heard up to three kilometers away. Although their size varies between the different breeds, we could say that a donkey has more in common with zebras than the horses.
Donkey has a large head and ears, thin legs and its hooves are smaller and oval. They come of age at four years, so it’s better not to give birth sooner. When living in the wild they come around in herds.
